Spider-Man: No Way Home (FILM REVIEW)

Image
*MAY CONTAIN MINOR SPOILERS* Film so nice, I had to watch it twice! On Thursday 16 th  December 2021, I zipped my big fluffy coat up and ventured out to my local ‘Cineworld’ to witness the cinematic masterpiece that was ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. I Went to the 4pm showing and by 7pm I booked to go and watch the 9pm showing, the very same day!   Unpopular opinion but Spider-Man has never been my favourite comic hero. Neither the first, second or third era of the franchise ‘tickled my fancy’. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen every film, but I walked into the theatre on Thursday with expectations lower than I’d anticipated. Boy was I wrong! I think this is my new favourite film EVER. I watched the first two of Tom Holland’s performances as Peter Parker and I really didn’t like the ‘childish’ persona Marvel gave the character. It was as if there was no progression, only regression. Let me tell you though, this third movie is the best movie performance I’ve ever seen from Hollan...

What Does Your Favourite Christmas Film Say About You?

Image
FRIENDLY REMINDER: These are simply jokes, and I am in no way making fun of a real-life event or person. All scenarios are made up and are strictly for my own entertainment, (and hopefully yours too!).  We all love a Christmas film, even the cringy, lovey dovey ones. To be honest though, during the Christmas season when I’ve asked the ever important “what’s your favourite Christmas film?” Some of the answers freak me out. I’m not one to judge, obviously, but I can definitely tell what kind of person you are based on your 'fav Christmas film'. I don’t know, I mean, I’m not a mind reader but I know most ‘Star Trek’ fans love Lego and I know all ‘UP’ fans are hopeless romantic ‘golden retriever' types. If you are one of these following people, let me know so I can laugh! So, without further ado, here’s what your 'Christmas fav' says about you:  Die hard: Middle aged man who hates Christmas but tolerates it for the wife and kids. Probably has never and will ever watch T...

Top 5 INSTA Influencers Every Girl Needs On Her Feed (TW)

Image
Being a girl is hard, and with the rise of social media and influencers, it's difficult to feel like you're working hard enough, living the most aesthetic life, or are 'slim thick' enough to please anyone. I for one struggle with accepting my body for what it is and I know social media isn't great on tackling this stigma. " Approximately 91% of women are unhappy with their bodies and resort to dieting to achieve their ideal body shape. Unfortunately, only 5% of women naturally possess the body type often portrayed by Americans in the media." (Palmer Mario, 2014). Those terrifying stats will only rise in percentage as social media, particularly, Instagram becomes an addiction to impressionable girls in this era. Thankfully,  I  choose to keep my insta feed body  positive  friendly in the hopes that my body will one day be my safe haven, and friend. With the help of inspiring women, maybe one day us girls  won't  hate our bodies so much! Here's a few...
