Personal Life Updates!

Hello and welcome to my personal life updates page!

Update 1: 28/01/22
I may or may not have had a mini hiatus this past month. With my blog only being two months old now, that's not a great track record LOL!

December and January has been a super hectic period for me. Not only has uni been filled with huge assignments and rapidly approaching deadlines, but Christmas and New Year came and went and I've been plodding along finding my bearings.

(TW- GRIEF):
Unfortunately, at the beginning of December, I had to say goodbye to my best friend Teddy. After 8 amazing years of being the most amazing and happy dog, it was his time to cross the 'rainbow bridge'. As someone who's not overly familiar with grief, this loss has hit me hard and I'm only now beginning to rejoin the rest of the world. Ted is missed dearly every day and I'm incredibly lucky to have my family and friends around me, as well as my cat Fred.

I want to start being more vulnerable and personal, as this is a blog after all, and whatever tips and tricks I might learn whilst grieving can always help someone else. For now, here's a poem that I found comforting throughout this process.

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...." -Unknown Author.

The show must go on and I'm finally ready to get back into the swing of things with my blogs. I have been given an exciting opportunity to create some content for YYFM, which I'll be posting here too, so do keep an eye out.

To end this personal update on a high, guess who just got Harry Styles tickets!!!! ME!!!
